Google partners L&T for 150 Wi-Fi hotspots in Pune

Tech giant Google today said it has partnered with Larsen & Toubro to set up 150 ‘Google Station’ Wi-Fi hotspots in Pune as part of Pune Smart City Development Corporation Ltd’s Smart City project. The US-based firm already has a partnership with RailTel, under which Wi-Fi Internet services are provided at over 270 railway stations in the country. “Potentially, three million Punekars can now get online within seconds, to message friends, pay bills, shop online, watch music videos and do millions of other things at locations all around the city,” Google said in a statement. NASA has considered resuming the search for its IMAGE satellite which it lost more than a decade back. The satellite helped the space agency monitor magnetic behaviour, including auroras. WhatsApp has been integrated into Apple’s CarPlay, with the latest WhatsApp v2.18.2 for iPhone.
